Spin a coin and finish your drink before it stops — every empty can stays on the table as a permanent mine.
Landmines is a high-speed battle between you and a spinning coin. You spin a coin, chug your beer, and must catch the coin before it falls. The catch: every finished beer leaves an empty can on the table as a permanent 'landmine'. As the game progresses, the table fills up, leaving less space for the coin to spin — and your opponents are waiting to slam their mines down on your coin exactly when you're mid-drink.
Sit around a smooth table, everyone starting with a full beer in a can (empty cans become mines). You need one shared coin. The table starts empty and gradually fills up. You must play with only one hand.
The active player spins the coin on the table with one finger and immediately starts drinking their beer using that same hand.
Before the coin stops spinning, the player must catch it (pin it with two fingers) using the same hand they used to spin and drink. If successful, their turn ends and passes to the left.
If the coin stops or falls before being caught, the player must drink a penalty and spin again until they succeed.
If the spinning coin hits an empty can (a mine) and falls, the player must drink and spin again.
Slamming: Any player who has an empty can on the table can slam it down on an opponent's spinning coin at any time. This stops the coin, forcing the active player to drink and spin again.
When a player finishes their beer, they place the empty can anywhere on the table — it stays there permanently as a landmine.
The game ends whenever the group decides to stop. There is no official winner — the biggest loser is the one who drank the most.
Play in two teams. Teammates can strategically place mines on the opponents' side of the table.
Remove the slamming rule — mines are only dangerous if the coin hits them on its own.
