Name something from a category without hesitating or repeating. If you fail, you drink.
Categories is a high-speed verbal game that requires zero setup. One player chooses a topic, and everyone else must quickly fire off related items. The first person to repeat an answer, say something completely wrong, or pause for too long takes a drink. It's a simple test of wit that gets progressively harder as the night goes on.
Sit in a circle. The first player (the host or whoever suggested the game) picks the starting category.
The active player announces a category (e.g., 'Beer brands', 'Harry Potter characters', or 'Cities in Europe').
Moving clockwise, each player must quickly name a valid item belonging to that category.
No repetitions are allowed, and answers must be given without hesitation.
If a player hesitates for more than 3 seconds, repeats a word, or gives an invalid answer, they lose and must drink.
The person who lost starts the next round with a brand new category.
Answers must be given in alphabetical order (e.g., Apple, Banana, Cherry...). Missing a letter means you drink.
The group maintains a rhythmic beat (e.g., clap, clap, snap, snap). You must say your word on the snaps. Fail to keep the beat? You drink.
Drop two truths and one lie about yourself. If they fall for it, they drink. If they catch you, you drink.
Someone asks a 'Most likely to...' question and everyone points. Take a drink for every finger aimed at you.
