Guess the color of the card before the dealer flips it. Right? The dealer drinks. Wrong? You drink.
Red or Black is the ultimate entry-level card game. The odds are 50/50, and everyone understands the rules in a second. No strategy, no complex counting – just pure luck and a drink in hand. It's the perfect night-starter when the group is just gathering or when no one's in the mood for complicated explanations.
Shuffle a deck of cards and place it face-down in the middle of the table. Determine the first dealer.
The dealer asks the player whose turn it is: 'Red or black?'
The player guesses the color of the next card in the deck.
The dealer flips the top card over so everyone can see it.
If the player guessed wrong, they must take a drink. If they guessed correctly, the dealer drinks.
The dealer role passes to the next player clockwise.
The game continues until the last card in the deck is flipped.
Instead of red/black, guess the specific suit (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs). If you're right, the dealer drinks 4 times. If not, you drink once.
One player deals the entire deck to everyone else. They drink every time someone guesses correctly. At the end of the deck, the dealer role switches.
Guess if the next card is higher or lower. Wrong guess? You drink. Three in a row and you assign the drinks.
Pick your horse, place your bets, and watch the bookie flip cards to decide who surges ahead and who falls behind in this high-stakes race.
